I put out a box called "Bitter orange cracker shack" and have 3 caches but
no one seems to have been to my box. I have not checked it for a month or
so, nor to I hear much chat about the area on here.

I have two boxes earmarked for the Tampa area...I just have to find
time to plant them! Unfortunately, I just heard that my boxes in St.
Pete had gone missing! Bummer. Florida has always been a little slow
on the letterboxing side. Not many year-round residents have been
planting boxes. It's been folks down on vacation. So when the boxes
go missing, they stay missing. And there isn't that much growth.
I am in and out (my parents live in St. Pete) So I will try to make a
point of planting these boxes next time I am in town!

Have you found Ant Castle Tree and Pelican Man? Like others I am
only there once in a while. I hope someone finds a good place for a
new Myakka Park box to replace the one that went missing. If not by
the time I return I'll try make one myself.

You will just have to plant boxes and spread the word yourself. :-)

I am an interested newbie in Jax, FL. I was looking to see if I
could find someone in either south GA or the North FL area to come to
a geocachers meeting and talk about Letterboxing.
Is there anyone out there that could help me?

When is this geocacher meeting? Although I live in VA, I'll be in the
Brunswick GA area in September. If these are regular and recurring
meetings and if you don't find anyone else before then, I might be
able to help you out in September.

My husband & I are looking for an excuse to come to Jax/ST Augustine
for a visit (OK, OK I admit it a letterboxing trip) I also have to
eat at Clarks fish camp again. I visited on business a little over a
month ago. Let me know when and we will try to work a schedule

We don't have a specific date in mind. We are just forming a
geocaching group here. And we are trying to fill up the calendar with
some events. This is MY request to do letterboxing.
I am interested but haven't started. And I think others who cache
would find it interesting.
Do you make your own stamps too?
So I guess I need to know-- are you serious?!?! If so- let's see if
we can work out a date!

Mary-
Would that be too much of a drive from Brunswick? I would hate to
ask you to drive way out of your way.
We are, however, very open on dates. We are trying to fill up the
calendar for the remainder of the year. We usually meet on a Sat.
(generally the 3rd Sat of a month-- but that isn't set in stone)
I really want someone to speak on this. It is something I am
interested in. And I am thinking we could get some of the 20 or more
cachers in the area interested too!
Email me directly if you like and we can discuss details-- and see if
this is too far to go.

I do carve my own stamps, and I would be glad to come, just let me
know some dates you are thinking about
